GOAT is a free app made by David Stanete, an independent developer based in Spain (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use GOAT.
The short version: GOAT does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no server of mine, no analytics and no ads. What you log stays on your phone.
What GOAT stores
Your workouts and the sets you log, the exercises you add, and your settings (goal, sex for the muscle map, appearance). This information is stored on your device, inside the app. It is never sent to me.
What GOAT does not do
GOAT does not run its own servers or use analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services. It does not track you across other apps or websites. It does not access your location, contacts, camera or photos. It does not sell, rent or share any data, because it has none to share.
Exporting and importing your data
Export my data creates a file on your device and opens the system share sheet. You decide where the file goes. Import data reads a file you pick on your device; nothing is uploaded.
Sharing a picture
When you tap Instagram, Save or Share under a workout or muscle picture, GOAT creates the picture on your device and hands it to that app or to your photos. GOAT asks before saving, and only to add photos, never to read them. Nothing leaves your phone unless you tap. Once shared, that app’s own privacy policy applies (for example, Instagram’s).
Device backups
Your phone’s normal backups to iCloud or Google may include GOAT’s data. Apple and Google handle these backups under their own policies and your settings. I have no access to them.
Feedback by email
If you send feedback by email, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply and to improve GOAT. I don’t share it with anyone, and I delete it if you ask.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete all data removes everything from your device immediately. Deleting the app does the same.
Children
GOAT is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data. Because GOAT keeps your data on your device, you control it directly. For anything you have sent me by email, contact me at the address below. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (aepd.es) or the authority in your country.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
