These terms are an agreement between you and David Stanete (“I”, “me”), the developer of GOAT. By downloading or using GOAT, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
GOAT is free
GOAT is free to use, with no purchases, subscriptions or ads.
Your license
I give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use GOAT on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as allowed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or the Google Play Terms of Service.
Your data
Your workouts and logged sets belong to you. They are stored on your device. I have no copy of them, so I can’t recover data that is lost or deleted.
Train safely
GOAT is a tool for logging your own training. Its weight and rep suggestions are simple rules, not coaching, medical or fitness advice. Lifting carries a risk of injury. Warm up, use good form and a spotter when you need one, train within your limits, and check with a doctor if you are unsure. You train at your own risk.
Exercise animations
The exercise animations and the muscle map are used under their licenses. They show common movements and are not instructions tailored to you.
Acceptable use
Don’t use GOAT for anything unlawful, and don’t copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
Ownership
The GOAT app, its name and its design belong to David Stanete. These terms don’t give you any rights to them beyond using the app.
No warranty
GOAT is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, I make no warranties of any kind, including that the app will be error-free or always available.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for any injury related to your training. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Apple
If you downloaded GOAT from the App Store: these terms are between you and me, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for GOAT, and is not responsible for any warranty or for any claims relating to GOAT. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes and law
If these terms change, I will update this page and the date at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without affecting your rights as a consumer where you live.
